Borussia Dortmund have submitted a proposal to take Arsenal attacker Ethan Nwaneri on loan, with discussions ongoing on Monday evening. Sami Mokbel reports that a decision is expected shortly.

The approach amounts to a formal offer for a temporary move rather than an agreement, and Arsenal have yet to sign it off. The reporting indicates active dialogue between the clubs over the framework of a loan, which would still require final approval before any move could proceed.

Nwaneri was not named in Arsenal’s squad to face Aston Villa, the report adds. Selection calls can be influenced by a range of factors and do not, on their own, confirm that a transfer will happen, but the timing sits alongside the ongoing talks.

As it stands, no details have been disclosed on potential clauses or duration, and there is no suggestion of terms being finalised. Should Arsenal accept the proposal, the parties would still need to complete the standard steps before any announcement, including documentation and registration.

Dortmund’s move represents a concrete step beyond routine monitoring, but until an agreement is reached and communicated the forward remains an Arsenal player and available to the club.
