Leeds in talks over loan for Chelsea’s Mudryk

Leeds United are pursuing a loan move for Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea, with discussions under way and the player open to joining, though the move is not yet advanced.

Leeds United are in discussions with Chelsea about taking Mykhailo Mudryk on loan. Talks are under way on Friday as the Yorkshire club explore whether a temporary move can be struck while they assess several attacking options.

As first reported by Ben Jacobs, the conversations remain at an early stage but have progressed beyond a simple enquiry. The reporting adds that Mudryk is believed to be open to the switch, removing a potential obstacle on the player side.

The same report stresses there is no agreement. A loan would still require the clubs to settle terms such as duration, any fee and the split of wages, and to align on whether purchase provisions are included. Chelsea, for their part, would also need to formally approve an exit before anything can advance.

Leeds are evaluating a number of attacking additions in parallel, so this pursuit does not preclude other moves and could shift in priority depending on how negotiations develop. The fact that dialogue is ongoing suggests the process is active rather than speculative, but there remains considerable work before a deal could be finalised.

Neither side has disclosed proposed terms or a timeframe, and there is no indication of an agreement at this stage. For now, the situation stands at talks, with further progress dependent on alignment between the clubs.
