Liverpool agree to appoint Fedchenkov as head of scouting
Andrii Fedchenkov is set to become Liverpool’s head of scouting operations, pending UK visa approval, replacing Craig McKee and linking live, video and data-driven recruitment.
Liverpool have reached an agreement for Andrii Fedchenkov to join as head of scouting operations, subject to UK visa clearance. The development emerged on Friday.
Details were first published by James Pearce. Fedchenkov is expected to act as the link between the club’s live and video scouting teams and the data department led by Will Spearman, and will replace Craig McKee, who left in September.
An agreement contingent on visa approval indicates the hire is lined up but cannot be completed until immigration steps are finalised. There has been no official confirmation from the club, and the start date will depend on when the paperwork is processed.
The brief sets out a centralised role over Liverpool’s scouting inputs, bringing together traditional live reporting, video analysis and data modelling into a single operational stream. That structure could sharpen how prospects are filtered and prioritised before recruitment decisions move forward.
The report adds that Fedchenkov will sit at the interface with Spearman’s group to translate analytical outputs into actionable direction for scouts and analysts across matches and video platforms. Aligning those workflows suggests Liverpool intend to tighten feedback loops between identification, validation and recommendation.
No contract terms were disclosed. Further internal changes, if any, have not been outlined at this stage.
