Man United filing shows £375m in transfer-related payables

Manchester United’s latest club filing shows transfer-related trade payables of £375.033 million, with £156.664 million due after more than one year. The figures were reported on Thursday evening.

Simon Stone has revealed that the totals, which cover fees and associated costs attached to player registrations, are lower than the previous year’s comparative, when the filing listed £447.131 million in total and £205.163 million beyond 12 months.

Transfer-related trade payables are amounts still owed to other clubs and intermediaries on past deals. Payments are routinely structured in staged instalments, so a portion is scheduled outside the next 12 months and appears as longer-term liabilities.

The year-on-year fall suggests United have settled a significant share of prior obligations over the past 12 months, even as other instalments remain outstanding. It does not in itself indicate the club’s current cash position or set a limit on potential future transfer activity.
