Nottingham Forest bid £20m plus add-ons for Palace’s Daniel Munoz

Forest have lodged an offer worth £20m plus £2m in add-ons for the 30-year-old right wing-back, with Crystal Palace weighing up whether to accept.

Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid to sign Crystal Palace right wing-back Daniel Munoz, with the offer valued at £20 million plus a further £2 million in add-ons, as reported on Thursday.

It was David Ornstein who put the story out first, reporting that Palace are considering whether to accept the proposal. The Colombia international, 30, has been a regular at right wing-back and fits the profile Forest are targeting for that flank.

The reporting adds that Forest head coach Oliver Glasner is keen to reunite with Munoz, a factor that could help drive the pursuit from the City Ground side’s perspective.

A formal bid establishes that there is active contact between the clubs, but it stops short of an agreement. No fee has been accepted and there is no indication at this point of personal terms being settled or a medical being arranged.

The package on the table is split between a guaranteed sum and performance-related add-ons. Specific contract details, salary terms and any clause structure have not been disclosed. Palace’s response will determine whether negotiations accelerate in the coming days or the process halts at the offer stage.
