Palace intend to keep Kalimuendo as Forest pursue striker
Nottingham Forest are aiming to add a forward before the deadline, but Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says the plan is for Arnaud Kalimuendo to remain at the club.

Nottingham Forest are looking to bring in a forward before the transfer deadline, while Arnaud Kalimuendo is expected to remain at Crystal Palace, according to reporting on Thursday.
John Percy has revealed that Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has set out the club’s stance on the striker, indicating the intention is for Kalimuendo to stay and that their goal is to keep him involved.
Kalimuendo was signed from Rennes for £25 million and spent the second half of last season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. His parent club’s public position now points towards him rejoining the Palace squad for the campaign rather than exploring another move.
That position suggests Palace are unlikely to sanction a departure late in the window, even if interest emerges. Any Forest enquiry for Kalimuendo would therefore face resistance under the current stance.
The report adds that Forest’s push to recruit a striker continues before the deadline, though no alternative targets or active negotiations are specified at this stage.
Unless Palace change tack, Kalimuendo appears set to be part of Glasner’s plans in the coming period, while Forest keep working on a separate centre-forward addition.
