Ipswich sign Strasbourg’s Julio Enciso on five-year deal, report claims
Ipswich are reported to have wrapped up a permanent move for Strasbourg’s 22-year-old attacking midfielder Julio Enciso in a package worth over €30m including add-ons, with a five-year contract agreed and a medical completed. Abdoul Ouattara is also said to be joining.

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Julio Enciso from Strasbourg on a permanent basis, according to a report. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is moving to Portman Road after terms were finalised with the Ligue 1 club.
David Ornstein has revealed that the overall package for Enciso is worth in excess of €30 million, structured with add-ons and including a clause tied to any future sale. The report states that the player has undergone his medical and agreed a five-year contract.
The same report adds that Abdoul Ouattara is also joining Ipswich. No further details were given on the terms of that deal.
If confirmed by the club in due course, Enciso’s arrival would represent a sizeable outlay and a notable addition to Kieran McKenna’s attacking options. A long-term contract for a 22-year-old suggests Ipswich are investing in a player they believe can develop and contribute over several seasons.
Enciso’s profile as an attacking midfielder points to added creativity and goal threat between the lines, while the inclusion of a future sale clause underlines Strasbourg’s interest in any subsequent move. Timelines for an official unveiling and integration into first-team training are not indicated in the report.
