Wrexham are preparing to conduct a medical for Issa Kabore on Wednesday ahead of a £2m permanent move from Manchester City. According to Ben Jacobs, the tests have been scheduled as the clubs move towards finalising the transfer.

The development surfaced on Tuesday and follows Kabore’s loan spell with Wrexham last season. If completed, the deal would convert that temporary stay into a full-time switch, with the sequence of events indicating a push to secure his return.

A booked medical is a strong sign that broad terms are in place, but completion still depends on the results of the examinations and the remaining documentation. At this stage there is no indication of contract details or any add-ons, and no formal announcement has been issued.

The timeline points to Kabore undergoing his checks on Wednesday, with any confirmation expected only if the routine processes are satisfied. The reporting frames Manchester City as the selling club and Wrexham as closing in on bringing Kabore back on a permanent basis.

Should the process progress without issue, the transfer could be wrapped up soon after the medical, once paperwork is signed. An official timeline has not been provided.
