Man Utd’s Sesko and Dorgu ruled out of Spurs match
Michael Carrick said both will miss Tottenham, with Dorgu set for weeks out and Sesko described as further away in his recovery, while Mazraoui will be assessed and others have trained.
Michael Carrick said on Friday that Sesko and Dorgu will miss Manchester United’s game against Tottenham, according to Laurie Whitwell. The manager confirmed neither player will be available for the meeting with Spurs.
Carrick indicated Dorgu faces a lay-off measured in weeks after being forced off recently, while Sesko is further back in his recovery and will not be ready to return for this fixture. The report adds that a call on Mazraoui has yet to be made and will depend on how he comes through additional checks.
There was brighter news from the training ground, with Rashford, Mainoo and Amad all involved in sessions ahead of the Tottenham match. Baleba has also increased his workload and is understood to have come through extensive work with the group.
Training participation, however, does not automatically translate into selection, and late fitness calls routinely shape the final matchday squad. With Dorgu sidelined for a period and Sesko still short, United’s staff will weigh the readiness of those returning to training before settling on the travelling party.
No further specifics were given on the underlying issues for either absentee beyond the broad timelines set out by Carrick. Clarity on Mazraoui’s status is expected once medical staff complete their assessment closer to the match.
